Westernport Catchment Landcare Network (WPCLN)
Landcare is all about managing our natural resources sustainably in partnership with private landholders.
The Western Port Catchment Landcare Network is a community based network that aims to work with all landholders to enhance the natural resources situated within Westernport Catchment.
The WPCLN works with its local Landcare member groups and the community to encourage sustainable land management practices. Current projects include; Soil carbon & Acidification; Land Stewardship - Revegetation and Healthy Soils; Threatened species protection; Southern Brown Bandicoot Habitat Resoration, Plant ID - Seed collection & propogation; Melbourne Water Catchment Engagement - River Health Program; and other various revegetation, soil health and sustainable agriculture programs.
Our project work is supported through funding from Melbourne Water, Australian Government, State Government, Port Phillip and Westernport CMA, Cardinia Shire, and Baw Baw Shire.
