TreeProject is a non-government, non-profit volunteer organisation actively working to improve the environment.

The main aim of the TreeProject is to create opportunities for people to do something positive for the environment by growing and planting indigenous trees and plants.

TreeProject recruits volunteers to propagate indigenous seedlings in their backyards in order to provide low cost seedlings to landholders struggling to repair some of Victoria’s environmental problems These activities bring members of rural and urban communities together to work on serious environmental issues. Most revegetation projects require thousands of seedlings.

Through the commitment of TreeProject's volunteers many landholders who would not otherwise be able to afford to revegetate their properties are able to do so because of the low cost of the seedlings and the assistance with planting them. Because the seedlings are grown by volunteers TreeProject is able to sell the seedlings for the cost of materials.

TreeProject is a Charitable organisation – all donations are tax deductible. Established in 1989. Through the dedicated work of volunteers, TreeProject grows 100,000 trees, shrubs and grasses each year for regeneration projects throughout Victoria.
