How to join a Gateway
This How-to is intended for:

Getting a login/password
All of the Victorian Landcare Gateway websites have the ability for users to join the sites as a registered user - which gives a username and login.
Please note that you now only need one username to access both Victorian, and Regional sites.
Registered users who are logged in to a gateway website will be able to manage their subscriptions, and see the most recent content changes across the website. Users will need to be registered to be able to add or manage group content on Gateway sites.
To first join a Gateway website you must:
- Click on the
new userlink at the bottom of the login box at left - This will open the join form.
- Enter your name and your email address (ensure your email is correct). This is the email where subscriptions or password reminders are sent to.
- Enter the username you wish to use
- Click the register button
- An email will be sent to your email address with a link to a page to allow you to complete the registration, and change your password. Click on the link to complete the process.
- Once your registration is complete, you will be able to login.
If there are any errors, such as the username or password already in use, you will be prompted to correct these.
If you have any major problems which you cannot fix, please click on the Contact link top right corner and fill in the information on this, and submit. This will send your message to the website manager.
Gaining editing rights to a gateway site
Once you have a login/password and are able to log into the site you can then gain rights to edit a gateway site. You will need to contact someone who already has editing rights and ask them to grant the same to you. You should contact your group and find out who is in a position to do this. If you cant find anyone then Contact the gateway administration and we can grant the rights.
You will need to provide your email address, username and full name so that your login can be found.
